Which lufthansa 747 ptvs

This, along with a number of complications while claiming milage on a frequent flier account may have caused the average person to loose hope in the commercial aviation sector. I am not a normal person, however, as flying will always keep a special place in my heart.

I had spent seven months in South America and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. It was time to head back home, however, and to prepare for my move to the U. My outbound itinerary was very exciting, to say the least! The last sector is in parentheses as it was in fact a re-routing due to a delayed connection from EWR on United that caused me to miss my original flight to EZE.

They use a system called Omnia. Everyone I know who's been on their 's and 's says its a good IFE system. By: frankvw - 31st March at Permalink - Edited 1st January at BA does have the Omnia system on all s and s, not sure about the few long-haul s though. I like their PTV system and it has been recently upgraded to 18 channels. Delta has it on the s, not sure about the s though, have a look at www.

Passengers can listen to an entire CD or just an individual track. IMap is a brand new fully interactive map application - not only can passengers track their flight, but they can also roam around the world, zoom in on different destinations and points of interest. Email and Intranet will be expanded allowing people on the ground to respond to text messages sent from the aircraft.

By: dan - 31st March at Permalink - Edited 1st January at Airline owner - PTV means personal television the ones you get in the seat back in front of you. BAs s and s all have PTVs. The s and ERs have the big overhead screens in economy. The s in long haul configuration also have the same First and Club arrangement as the s and s, but still the overhead TVs in economy sadly.

I don't think there is any plan to change this layout, however 2 new s are being configured for long haul this month, and we will have to see if they will be given economy PTVsor not However I repeat "among the the airlines I flew with".

By: greekdude1 - 31st March at Permalink - Edited 1st January at SQ has a great PTV system in their fleet. I don't know about economy, but when I flew their business class 2 years ago, these were some of the features: 10 inch screen, on demand video channels, and video games. I'm not sure of the specifics in terms of how many channels or how many games, but these were in the 'old' business clas, the Ultimo seats. Now the Spacebed should be fleet wide and I would imagine these to be slightly better.

I would have bet my life that this would be speedbirds first thread. I cannot speak for the latter, however, I am able to compare the new seat with the A model, which I flew on last year from Toronto to Frankfurt.

The most noticeable difference in the seats compared to the A and A is the different seat-back configuration. The model has a hard recessed magazine pocket right under the PTV, which is similar in concept to the magazine pockets found in the increasingly popular Recaro Shortrange slim line products. This configuration results in a slightly different seat construction, with the PTV frame merging down into the magazine pocket and with a folded tray table, which is also not found on the A and A models.

The seat also has a separate mesh seat pocket for personal items, which I found very practical.
